The frequency of mutations in genes BRCA1 and BRCA2 was investigated among women-liquidators of Chornobyl disaster consequences; the 5382insC mutation of the BRCA1 gene is dominant among the studied spectrum of mutations (it’s frequency is 5.9% in the group of women with breast cancer (BC) and 1.1% in the group of women without BC.
Key words: breast cancer, mutations, BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes, DNA-analysis, clinical and genealogical research, Chornobyl disaster.
