Employing biophysical measurements of 238U content in urine samples to monitor individual internal exposure of workers in uranium mining and processing industry is considered. According to the Main Sanitary Rules of Ukraine requirement to detect annual internal dose of 1 mSv, derived investigation levels were calculated for different uranium compounds and periodicity of bioassay sampling.
Key words: uranium mining and processing industry, uranium radionuclides, individual monitoring, internal exposure.
