It was found that the presence of isolated isolated abnormal cords of the left ventricle (AHLV) in children born from parents exposed in a result of Chornobyl catastrophe may be accompanied by changes of structural and functional heart rates, depending on the number of chords. Significant reduction in central hemodynamics in children with isolated AHLV shows a decline in their adaptive capacities of the cardiovascular system due to shifts in dynamics and energetics of cardiac contraction, which were expressed at the threshold of their number. Decrease in stroke volume, stroke index and the cardiac index, typical for the hypokinetic type of organization of central hemodynamics can be considered as early signs of stress features of the heart and blood vessels. Analysis of the characteristics of diastolic transmitral flow showed that children with a threshold of AHLV original parameters, compared with the healthy children, had some differences regarding both speed and time parameters, indicating the initiation of diastolic dysfunction. Almost a third of children with subthreshold number of isolated AHLV also had signs of initiation of diastolic dysfunction.
