The experience of use of the Automated database management system for monitoring of medico-demographic consequences of Chornobyl catastrophe (ADM DEMOSMONITOR) is generalized. It was designed to monitor the status and dynamics of the medical-demographic processes in the territories of Ukraine contaminated as a result of the accident, and to identify their basic patterns at the population level, depending on the factors of the environment. It is used to automate the research and management professionals involved in the aftermath of the Chernobyl disaster and its medical and demographic consequences. The use of automated control system allows to collect, store and analyze medical and demographic data in an automated mode and use them as an information source for new scientific knowledge on the health consequences of Chernobyl disaster management decision-making and public awareness.
Key words: medical consequences of the Chornobyl disaster, monitoring medical and demographic situation, databases, automated system.
