PATTERN OF ACUTE LYMPHOBLASTIC LEUKEMIA IN THE SPECTRUM OF RADIATION;ASSOCIATED HEMATOLOGICAL DISEASES (literature review)

The review presents literature data on the incidence and mechanisms of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in adults and children, taking into account the role of genetic changes, chromosomal aberrations, and epigenetic disorders that occur pre' and postnatally as a result of exposure to ionizing radiation in a wide range of doses. The possibility of developing a set of preventive measures for the occurrence of radiation'associated ALL is discussed based on the determination of individual variability of patients and the role of the disease’s modifying risk factors.
Key words: acute lymphoblastic leukemia; ionizing radiation; chromosomal aberrations; fusion genes.
