Study purpose is the evaluation of cytogenetic effect of possible internal radionuclides income and external exposure while working on new confinement buildening in Chornobyl zone. 25 persons from contracting organizations staff and 22 clinically healthy donores (control group) were examined using the method of classical chromosome analysis. There was not identified significant increase of resent exposure markers frequency (dicentric chromosome + centric rings with accompanying fragments) compared with frequency in control group. It correspond with the provided doses of radiation — external up to 20 mSv (28,7 mSv maximum) and internal up to 1 mSv (1,6 mSv maximum). In persons from contracting staff cells with fragmented chromosome and complex interchromosome exchanges were identified. It is more likely to indicate a possible internal exposure due to radionuclides incorporation in the organism.

Key words: “Shelter” object, ionizing radiation, staff, chromosomal aberrations, lymphocytes.
