There were analyzed results of examinations concerning somatic non-tumor diseases and psychoemotional status in 1458 children and adolescent aged 13–17 years old who were affected by the Chîrnobyl accident. Psychoemotional disorders can be both a cause (1) and consequence (2) of somatic diseases. All neurotic disorders, psychopathies and other psychical disorders of non-psychotic type belong to the first scenario and their frequency has direct correlation with a prevalence of psychoemotional tension. The second scenario includes somatoform autonomic dysfunction, thyroid diseases, gastroduodenal pathology; prevalence of these forms of pathology also has a straight correlation with a frequency of psychoemotional tension. Risks of somatic pathology due to psychoemotional tension and, on the contrary, risk of psychoemotional tension due to somatic diseases should be taken into account in further programs of psychological correction and social support of adolescent affected by the Chîrnobyl accident.

Key words: Chornobyl catastrophe, victims, psycho-emotional state, somatic diseases, children and adolescents.
